Dr. Chalifoux grew up in Massachusetts. He was a member
of the National Honor Society and received the Bausch Lomb Science Award at
Oakmont Regional High School in Ashburnham, Massachusetts graduating in 1970.
Activities included band, chorus, football, ski club and yearbook staff. He
attended:
Assumption College, Worcester, Massachusetts:
Dr. Chalifoux received a B.A.
degree in natural sciences graduating Summa Cum Laude after three years.
Activities included chess club, resident advisor, student government, volleyball
and judo club. He received scholarships from Assumption College and the
Ashburnham Lions Club. He did college research at Worcester Polytechnic
Institute with a federal grant to study the rotation of carbon to phosphorus
bonds under nuclear magnetic resonance and at Boston University with a cancer
research grant studying hematology at Boston University.
Georgetown University School of Dentistry:
Dr.
Chalifoux graduated from Georgetown in 1977 and received a DDS degree. He
attended dental school on an Army Health Scholarship Program sponsored by the
United State Congress. His activities included sailing club, scuba diving,
lifeguard school and karate.
U.S. Army:
Dr. Chalifoux was attached to Tripler Army Medical
Center in Hawaii. He attended three month clinical rotations in endodontics, periodontics, fixed
prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics and oral surgery.
Dr. Chalifoux has attended over one thousand hours of
continuing education in all areas of dentistry presented as lectures and hands
on continuing education presented by dental companies, dental
schools, dental conferences and independent lecturers.
