Our Office

Wellesley Dental Arts is a multi-specialty practice offering you a full range of dental services including preventative care, maintenance, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, teeth whitening, periodontal surgery and dental implants.

Insight, experience and dedication to the highest quality of patient care are the hallmarks of our multi-specialty dental team. Our focus is on cosmetic dentistry services, such as dental implants and dental veneers, but we also offer general dentistry and orthodontics. Our general dentists and specialists have received their training from many of the nation’s prestigious educational and dental institutions. It’s our doctors’ skilled combination of art and science that has made Wellesley Dental Arts one of New England’s most respected cosmetic dental practices. As a group dental practice, we offer everything from preventive care and general dentistry to sophisticated dental reconstructions.

Meet the Dentists

Rachele Luciano,DMD

Dr. Rachele Luciano is a Board Certified Endodontist who received her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree from McGill University. Following dental school, she completed a 2 year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital where she was Chief Resident. She then pursued her passion for endodontics and trained at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she obtained her Specialty Certificate in Endodontics in 2011.

In addition to being a clinical instructor at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine Endodontic Post-Graduate program, Dr. Luciano serves as a consultant and examiner for the national dental specialty examination board of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She is also a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Board of Endodontics and the College of Diplomates.

Dr. Luciano has lectured at numerous endodontic study clubs and academic conferences, including the American Association of Endodontists Annual Meeting. She is fluent in English, French and Italian, enjoys traveling, cooking, cycling and spending time with her husband and family.


Vanessa Newton, DMD
General Dentistry

Dr. Vanessa Newton graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2004. Prior to attending Tufts, she graduated from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA with a degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Art History. Following Dental School, Dr. Newton completed a postgraduate residency in General Dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY, which is part of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Newton worked at a prominent multi-specialty dental practice in Downtown Boston for 9 years prior to coming to Wellesley Dental Arts. She also served as faculty at Tufts Dental School from 2005-2012.

Dr. Newton truly enjoys getting to know her patients, and helping them have a great experience in her office. She believes that providing a great experience allows patients to achieve great oral health, and have improved self-confidence. She finds these interactions extremely rewarding. She is consistently taking continuing education courses with leading teaching institutions. She most recently implemented the use of Botox into her practice and is really enjoying helping people with pain related to tooth clenching and tooth grinding find relief.

Dr. Newton is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Metropolitan District Dental Society, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.

Dr. Newton lives in Newton with her husband and two dogs. She was very active in choral music throughout her college career and is currently a novice sewist, and is also learning to play the piano. She has family in Germany and Colombia speaks Spanish.

David Samuels, DMD

After completion of a BS in the Preprofessional Scholars Program in Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Samuels received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He went on to be president of his postgraduate class in Periodontology at Tufts. He has been in private practice for over 27 years in the Boston area practicing periodontics, implant dentistry and oral medicine.

In 2008, Dr. Samuels was the General Chairman of the Yankee Dental Congress, Boston’s largest annual meeting with nearly 30,000 attendees. From 2009 to 2010, he served as President of the Massachusetts Dental Society. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Registration in Dentistry for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and continues to be a recognized leader for the enhancement of oral health and the dental profession.

In addition to the American Dental Association, Dr. Samuels is a Fellow of the American Society of Osseointegration, and an active member of the American College of Oral Implantology, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. Samuels has served as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, as well as lectured in the Department of Oral Pathology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
