As the name suggests, microscope-assisted endodontics involves the use of a microscope during endodontic treatment, which allows the Endodontist to see more detail than they would with their naked eye.

On the day of your procedure, our Board Certified Endodontist accesses the inside of the damaged tooth by making a small access hole using a dental drill. The Endodontist then uses a microscope to magnify the areas inside your canals. Next, the Endodontist thoroughly cleans out the canals and finally seals the tooth using gutta-percha material. For severely damaged teeth, dental crowns may be required to restore the tooth’s function and appearance.
